Overview

Sin Heng Chan (Malaya) Berhad (“SHC”) is a company incorporated in Malaysia and listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

Incorporated in 1962, SHC was previously involved in feedmilling and poultry breeding. Since 2007, the Group divested this business and ventured into oil palm plantations. Currently, our Group has a plantation landbank on mineral soil of approximately 10,997 hectares in Sarawak.

In 2017, the Group diversified into the provision of energy and facility management services. In particular, this includes the engineering, procurement, construction, operations and maintenance of district cooling systems. 

Together, these two segments form the core business activities of our Group. 

Moving forward, our Group continues to prospect for growth opportunities that can provide sustainable earnings for our valued shareholders.

Plantations

The Group’s oil palm estates are all located in the state of Sarawak, Malaysia with a total landbank on mineral soil of approximately 10,997 hectares. The Group’s operations comprise of the cultivation of oil palm plantations and sale of Fresh Fruit Bunches.

Energy and Facility Management

The Group’s second core business is the provision of energy and facility management services. Specifically, this includes:

  • Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of district cooling systems
  • Supply of cooling energy from district cooling systems and related activities
  • Comprehensive energy and facility management services

District cooling systems (DCS) involve the use of a centralized plant that supplies chilled water through a network of underground pipes to heat exchangers in different buildings. The heat exchangers are then used to transfer the cooling energy from the water to the building’s internal chilled water loop.
