The Group’s second core business is the provision of energy and facility management services. Specifically, this includes:
District cooling systems (DCS) involve the use of a centralized plant that supplies chilled water through a network of underground pipes to heat exchangers in different buildings. The heat exchangers are then used to transfer the cooling energy from the water to the building’s internal chilled water loop.
A DCS provides many benefits through economies of scale via the use of larger and more efficient chiller systems. Aside from being more beneficial for the environment, the system reduces overall capital and energy costs over the long term. Other benefits include space saving and operating flexibility for individual buildings in the development.
The Group currently supplies chilled water to the Pagoh Education Hub, Johor and Dataran Pahlawan Megamall, Melaka.
